When to pray it
Duha is prayed in the forenoon, from after Ishraq until shortly before Dhuhr. Its best time is when the day has grown hot, about a quarter of the way through the day, which SalaahDaily shows as Chasht. It ends 10 minutes before Dhuhr, before the sun reaches its highest point.
How many rak‘ahs
At least 2 rak‘ahs; the Prophet ﷺ also prayed 4, and 8 on the day of the conquest of Makkah. The Jafari school does not count Duha among the recommended prayers.
